Carr House Farm

Carr House Farm is committed to the production of food produced in a traditional and sustainable way.

Our decision to convert all 190 hectares to organic production almost 10 years ago was borne out of a desire to produce tasty, wholesome and natural food.

At the Side Oven Bakery, we bake bread and make muesli using cereals that are grown at Carr House Farm using traditional crop rotation methods and produce juices and cordials from apples, elderflowers and soft fruits that we grow in our three hectare orchard.

Our organic farming methods and involvement in environmental stewardship have created a wide range of wildlife on the farm including herons, barn owls, otters and water voles.

We encourage groups of all ages to visit Carr House Farm and the Side Oven Bakery to learn more about organic farming and food production, to explore our designated nature trail and to appreciate the considerable wildlife benefits associated with organic farming. Visits are by appointment only, so please contact us for more information.
