Packing and Postage:
The Shopping Cart automatically calculates the Shipping Charges for all locations. UK Mainland Delivery charge (excl Highlands and Islands) is £7 per delivery address for all orders below £40. Side Oven Bakery will not be held responsible if local Customs authorities wish to charge import duty or delay the release of any item.
Payment must be received by us before an order can be processed. We accept payment by a cheque drawn in sterling on a UK bank or by Visa or MasterCard credit cards. In the event that any payment is subsequently dishonoured any amount due will be chargeable to interest at the rate of 4% per annum over the base rate of National Westminster Bank PLC appertaining at the date on which payment falls due notwithstanding that such claims to interest and/or to surcharges for non-payment may have been waived by us in the past. We reserve the right to re-impose without notice any discount that may have been allowed if payment is not made in full by the due date. All costs including legal fees incurred by us in collection of amounts due or in enforcing under the clause below will be payable by the customer.
Prices quoted are by weight or by unit as appropriate and include all taxes applicable to sales in the United Kingdom. The company makes a charge for delivery which is specified on our Order Form and on our web site. The company reserves the right to alter any prices or specifications at any time without notice and all goods are sold subject to prices ruling at the date of despatch. Subject to the above, customers will be notified if the price to be charged is different from the published price and will be given the option of cancelling their order without penalty.
Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods supplied passes to the buyer on delivery or on collection from our premises if sold ex warehouse or, in the event of goods being held in storage, on issue of invoice. No claim for damage or deterioration can be accepted after delivery. Pending payment of the full price for the goods the buyer will insure the same in a UK office repute in a sum not less than their invoice price. The buyer declares that it holds any insurance proceeds on trust to pay the same to Side Oven up to the amount of the invoice price of the goods supplied.
You have the right to cancel within seven days of your order, or within seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). If you cancel your order before delivery, your payment will be returned. If you cancel once your goods have been received we will arrange collection of the goods and refund once collection has taken place.
If goods have not been received within 3 days of the anticipated delivery date, please notify this company in writing. Any delay in despatch and/or delivery for whatsoever reason shall not be ground for a claim for consequential loss.
Pilferage and Damage
We can only accept claims for pilferage or damage if written notification is given to both the carriers and ourselves within three days of receipt of goods. If delivery is made by carriers please always sign for the goods "Unexamined" and retain the outer wrappings for examination by the carrier. If delivery is made on our own transport, the consignment should be checked and signed for accordingly.
All quotations given by this company are subject to market fluctuations etc and are made without engagement.
We shall supply goods only on the condition that these terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between ourselves and our customers and these conditions supersede any prior agreement or arrangement.
Variations of Terms and Conditions
No variation may be made to these terms & conditions unless agreed in writing by a Director of Side Oven Ltd. Orders placed by customers shall be only on the basis that our customers acknowledge that they are not relying on any representation regarding goods supplied other than as may be in writing and signed by a Director on behalf of Side Oven Ltd.
Gift Vouchers – Terms & Conditions
Side Oven Vouchers can only be used at Side Oven as part or full payment for goods or courses. Cards/Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Side Oven is not responsible for any unauthorised use of the voucher, and reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this service at any time. Gift Vouchers are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift Cards/Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified at point of purchase.
Side Oven Courses – Terms & Conditions
Booking online, payment and cancellation
To book your place on a course, please complete the booking form on our website. Payment can be by cheque or by card over the phone. Cheques should be made out to ‘Side Oven Ltd’.
Allergens & Dietary Requirements.
All attendees must have filled out a booking form prior to the course detailing any food allergy and dietary requirements. We do have allergens on the premises such as NUTS, Gluten and Dairy – therefore all foods may contain traces of said allergen. Our courses are NOT suitable for anyone suffering a severe food allergy.
Full payment is required to confirm your place on a course.
If you have already paid in full and need to cancel your booking, we will refund 100% of your total payment providing you ask us to do this at least 4 weeks before the course. We are not obliged to refund your place for cancellations with less than 4 weeks notice, but we will endeavour to fill your place and upon doing so will then refund your booking.
We would only cancel your booking if we were unable to provide the course place due to circumstances beyond our control. In such a case, we would attempt to offer you a place on an alternative course. If this was not possible, or was unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

All credit card numbers are encrypted by WorldPay. They are not held in clear text on any website and they are not passed to Side Oven Ltd.
Data Protection - Collection & Storage of Data
Side Oven Ltd will ensure that data is collected within the boundaries defined in this policy. This applies to data that is collected in person, or by completing a form.
When collecting data, Side Oven Ltd will ensure that the Individual:
a) Clearly understands why the information is needed
b) Understands what it will be used for and what the consequences are should the Individual/Service User decide not to give consent to processing
c) As far as reasonably possible, grants explicit consent, either written or verbal for data to be processed
d) Is, as far as reasonably practicable, competent enough to give consent and has given so freely without any duress
e) Has received sufficient information on why their data is needed and how it will be used
Information and records relating to individuals will be stored securely and will only be accessible to authorised staff.
Information will be stored for only as long as it is needed and will be disposed of appropriately.
It is Side Oven Ltd responsibility to ensure all personal and company data is non-recoverable from any computer system previously used within the organisation, which has been passed on/sold to a third party.
